About the Competition

Collingwood-based Tatham Engineering helps employees achieve a healthy work-life balance with flexible work options and social events throughout the year like on-site ice cream days.

Background

This year marks the first edition of Southwestern Ontario's Top Employers, Southwestern Ontario's Top Employerswhich is the first new competition launched by the editors of Canada's Top 100 Employers in a decade. The new competition covers the large region between Lake Huron/Georgian Bay and Lake Erie, excluding the Greater Toronto Area and Niagara - the same area that roughly comprises the '519' area code. The region tells a story through its history, its people, and the wide variety of industries that make up Southwestern Ontario's dynamic employment landscape. We are excited finally to recognize its leading employers. For more background on this year's competition, read the press release announcing this year's winners issued on January 16, 2024.

Digital Extremes organized a range of social activities over the past year to celebrate the reopening of its London studio, such as a gourmet lunch, petting zoo, and team happy hour.

Reasons for Selection

Early in the new year, our editorial team will announce the winners of Southwestern Ontario's Top Employers by releasing detailed reasons for selection, describing why each of the winners was selected -- please review the full list of winners below. Publishing detailed reasons for selection is a distinguishing feature of our competition: it provides transparency in the selection of winners and 'raises the bar' so other employers can discover and adopt initiatives already working well elsewhere.
